A Very Gorey Halloween 2019


Enjoy a visit to Gorey town with a difference on Saturday 26th October when, as part of our “A Very Gorey Halloween” festivities the businesses on our Main Street will be dressed in their Halloween costumes!  Visit the participating shops, cafes, and restaurants and meet some spooky characters!

In Gorey Visitors Centre there will be more madness and mayhem with face painters and characters to meet!

Later that evening in Gorey Civic Sq we are hosting a Halloween Music Mash up  – bring to life some of your favourite Halloween music with an interactive dance display guaranteed to entertain children and adults! Come in costume to add to the fun!

The evening ends with a Fire Spectacle performed from a collective of highly talented fire performers and drum crew using a variety of all types of fire performance props directed by The Fairy Hooper.


Be witched, be wondered and be there!

Throughout the midterm there are plenty of events to keep little ones amused!

From 28th October to 3rd November the award-winning Kia Ora Mini Farm have a great line up of events - Shake your bones at their kiddie discos and throughout the farm, there are some rather unusual visitors so be sure to say hi! Always a favourite for woodland walks and outdoor adventures any time of the year, Wells House and Gardens have a Spooktacular offering this Halloween running from 25th October – 31st October.  Their brand-new ghost train experience runs for one day only on Thursday, 31st of October. Take a ride through the enchanted grounds on board the interactive ghost train. Keep an eye out for spooky characters who are lurking in the woods or embark on a mysterious scavenger hunt through the magical forest and in the afternoon a fancy-dress mini disco.  There's also some fun workshops like Build a Bear & Halloween themed lego! Halloween at Wells will run from Friday 25th until Thursday 31st October with daily activities for your little monsters. This event is suitable for all ages.  For booking details see

Dust off your broomsticks, grab your witch’s hat and join the Halloween Monster Mash event at the Amber Springs Hotel. The village comes alive with Frankenstein, ghouls and spooky skeletons and we encourage all the little Halloween visitors of all ages to come along in their scariest costumes with some ghoulish goodies up for grabs! Enjoy wicked, creepy, monsters and scary performers in the Halloween Village, filled with sweet treats, candies and hot chocolate. Wexford Lavender Farm has a fun pumpkin picking day planned with some hidden surprises along the way!  Enjoy some fresh air and meet some wicked witches as you select your pumpkin to bring home and carve!  This is a ticketed event with tickets available through

Located just outside Gorey, this gym like no other is running a fun Halloween one day camp over the midterm taking place on Tuesday 29th October from 10am to 2pm!  The camp is for kids aged 5-12, it promises to be a good fun day with a Halloween themed treasure hunt and some fun challenges to try amongst lots of running around and exercise!
