YOLOS: Youth Opportunities Local Outcomes Service

YOLOS is a community based youth project which aims to support young people, and their families, particularly those who are or who may be at risk of experiencing social exclusion. The principles that underpin our work are those of Equality, Inclusion, Participation, Empowerment and respect for all individuals.

Based in the Mary Ward Lane opposite Gorey School of Art, the drop-in group, with a not-for-profit community childcare centre downstairs, is a hive of activity.

The service facilitates a Young LGBT Group, a teenage drop-in gig with a resident band every Friday from 5-7.30pm, a Third and Fourth Class Primary Group, a Fifth Class Primary Group, a Sixth Class Primary Group, Young Women’s Development Group, Parent and Toddler Group, Gamman Cant Group and Teenage Personal Development Programme.
