Mylie Doyle established his traditional grocery store in Gorey in February, 1966. Over the past 50 years the shop developed a reputation for welcoming, friendly service. We have now progressed into an Artisan Food Store and Myles Doyle Select Grocer and Fine Wines aim to sell quality goods from both local and Irish food producers.
Mylie’s son, John, has been working in the grocery store since leaving school. Retirement was never an option for Mylie Doyle and he continued working until shortly before his death in January, 2014. John Doyle continues the grocery tradition of his father in a way that matches customers’ expectations from a Select Grocery Store in 2015.
Myles Doyle Select Grocers, Gorey, County Wexford is a shop to go if you want that blast from the past, its new venture into many artisan products including jams, chutneys, coffee, tea and chocolates, to name but a few, are beautifully displayed and make for a nice treat for some family home. The majority of the products are sourced or packaged by Irish distributors which adds to the uniqueness of this artisan food gem. And we must not forget the selection of cheeses and wines of high quality. Farmers produce has always been a part of this family run business so if you want your honey, duck eggs or free range eggs this is definitely the place to go.
