Culture Night Saint Michael’s Church: Pugin’s Romanesque Gem in the heart of Gorey

Explore the rich history of North Wexford through a series exhibitions and tours of Saint Michael’s Church, Pugin’s Romanesque gem in the heart of Gorey. These events are open to everyone. They will explore how the history of Saint Michael’s is intricately interwoven with the broader history of Gorey and the wider North Wexford area. No booking is required, just turn up on the evening.

Come explore our past, and see the work we are doing in the present to preserve our shared history for future generations.

5pm – 8pm: Exhibition in the Pastoral Centre featuring the treasures of Saint Michael’s Church, along with photographs and documents from the Parish Archive.

5pm and 7pm: Guided tours of Saint Michael’s Church, beginning at the Parochial House , will explain the development of the parish and church, while highlighting some of the fascinating stories and characters from Saint Michael’s long history.

5pm – 8pm: Icon exhibition in Saint Michael’s Church will explore the liturgical and spiritual beauty of the ancient artform of iconography.

The grounds and church are fully wheelchair accessible
