Summer Solstice Little Tern Walk

Summer Solstice Little Tern Walk Love Gorey

Summer Solstice Little Tern Walk

The colony of Little Terns which make their summer home on beautiful Old Bawn Beach have travelled all the way from West Africa. Now they raise their chicks on the shingle, fishing for food and guarding their young, protected by the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the local community.

Join our guides this summer solstice for a guided walk on the beach, an explanation of our work on the site, and a chance to spot some of the fluffy chicks!

This event is organised by the Wicklow Region of the National Parks and Wildlife Service, with guides based at the Knocksink Wood Education Centre. Free of charge, all ages welcome, booking required. Meeting at Old Bawn Beach car park. Dogs (excepting guide dogs) are not permitted. For further details, contact [email protected].
