Some members of Kilanerin Tidy Towns have organised, on the weekend of March 8 and 9, two exciting local history events. First, on the Saturday evening, there will be what promises to be a very interesting talk on the history of *Limbrick*, the village that existed in this area long before the emergence of Kilanerin.
This talk is being held with a view to exploring how we could work together as a community to deepen our understanding of this lost village, and its historical significance.
The talk will be followed on Sunday, March 9, with a walk around the block with Peter O’Connor and local residents through more than 400 years of local history and community. Walk starts at 2pm KCC Gym – Kilanerin Community Centre
We’d encourage everyone to attend one, or the two events. They will be of major interest to both new and older residents of the village and surrounding areas. All the details are in the attached poster
