Gorey 3-Day International Bike Race Returns for its 56th Year

The much-anticipated Gorey 3-Day International Bike Race is set to take place over the Easter weekend, April 19th to 21st, bringing world-class cycling action to the roads of North Wexford and South Wicklow. This prestigious event, now in its 56th year, continues to attract top-tier cyclists from Ireland and beyond, with over 165 riders expected at the start line.

Proudly sponsored by Whizzy Internet as the title sponsor, alongside the valued support of Redmond Electric, Funges of Gorey, Sprint Design, Wexford County Council, Fitzpatrick Lombard & Cullen Solicitors, Tara Meadows, and James Tomkins Motors, this race remains a key fixture on the international cycling calendar.

The event’s four stages over three days offer a thrilling test of endurance, strategy, and teamwork. Riders from across Ireland will be joined by three teams from the UK and an international team from Strasbourg, France, adding to the race’s competitive international flavor.

A standout feature of the Gorey 3-Day is its unique format, which allows a mix of men and women to race together, offering a rare and exciting opportunity for varied abilities to compete against some of the strongest cyclists in the sport. With a long history of producing future stars—past winners have gone on to become world champions—this year’s event promises to be another exhilarating edition.

Spectators are encouraged to line the routes and experience the high-speed action firsthand as the riders battle for glory over the stunning and challenging terrain of North Wexford and South Wicklow.
