Breakfast Bliss

There’s no better way to start a weekend morning then with a breakfast worth waking up to!  The team at Hungry Bear Gorey have developed a menu filled with traditional breakfast delights but with flair that have gained an incredible following here in North Wexford & further afield!  You can order via the BAMBOO app and enjoy takeaway (you just need someone to collect it!) or enjoy the setting of their cafe with local art on display too!

Cheese Please

Cooler evenings just call out for a cheese board and wine in front of a good film!  Pop into Myles Doyle on our Main St and pick up some of the finest artisan cheese available in Gorey, paired with locally produced crackers & chutneys!

This shop is described by owner John as “a sweet shop for adults” and once you see the range of produce available you will know why!

Wells house car show

Wells House & Gardens Cars & Coffee

One of the most fun events in the North Wexford is the Classic Car Show in Wells House & Gardens. With COVID restrictions in place the car show has not been a possibility but as a reminder of what’s in store hopefully for next year Gorey Motor Club are hosting a Cars and Coffee morning from 11am on Sunday 12th September.  Wells House also welcome back Donna Marie for some live music entertainment and Brambles will be hosting a BBQ on the terrace gardens!

Enjoy a walk in Cahore

We might not be enjoying the blue skies of summer but our coastline is still breathtakingly beautiful and a definite recommendation for a weekend walk and without doubt one of the most stunning walks is the Cahore Trail.  Park up in one of the two carparks, wrap up and enjoy the cliff walk and then loop back on the back road from Cahore South, feeling more energetic, continue to the beautiful Old Bawn Beach! Dinner Dates!

It was a great day for Gorey when the hugely popular One Hundred Degrees Restaurant on our busy Main st reopened, although the team offered some of the finest takeaway we are thrilled at the idea of enjoying dinner in this restaurant once again!

Owner & Chef Praba has been working with a wide range of world cuisines since starting his career at a culinary college in the South of France 20 years ago and his offering is definitely a welcome addition to the culinary options in Gorey! His passion mixed with all the best influences and ideas he has been developing over these years has resulted in One Hundred Degrees and he & his team are now delighted to welcome you back!
