Gorey-Kilmuckridge Municipal District have designated between 10.30am and 12.30pm as cocooner only time in Ramsfort Woods, Gorey. People who are aged over 70 or who are medically vulnerable have now been afforded a designated time to exercise in a bid to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection.
Since March 27th, older people and those who are particularly at risk of contracting a severe form of the illness were requested by the Government and health officials to cocoon and refrain from leaving their homes to protect themselves from coronavirus, which causes Covid-19.
However, since May 5th, that advice has been eased slightly and now allows those individuals to leave their homes for exercise each day but they are asked to avoid contact with other people.
In order to ensure physical distancing for our most vulnerable, Gorey-Kilmuckridge Municipal District asks that users of Ramsfort Woods observe this request.
The designation will come into effect from Thursday, May 28th.
