Sustainable Shopping & Warm Welcomes!

Gorey is renowned for it’s amazing shopping but 2021 saw the arrival of a new shop to Gorey and what an impact it has had!

The Refillery offers a plastic free physical and online store and stocks organic, ethically sourced products, all supplied plastic free.

The idea is you bring along your own empty containers and refill with your favourite foods or cleaning products. They offer a local click & collect and free local delivery service with nationwide deliveries available.

Owners Clare & Don are on hand and happy to offer advice on how you can lead a more sustainable lifestyle with small changes!  Pop in and have a look in their shop on Thomas st Gorey!

Ballymoney beach love gorey

Beautiful Ballymoney

Without doubt Ballymoney beach & surrounding areas hold a special place in the hearts of so many families and visitors who spend their summers down here in North Wexford.

Although by mid October the beach is certainly a different place but there is no better way to spend a morning or afternoon at the weekend then on a semi deserted beach, looking at the waves crashing in with gusts of winds carrying you forward!

Nothing soothes the soul like a walk on a beach!

Thank Goodness for the team at the Ashdown Park Hotel, as we emerged from lockdown the team decided to undertake a revamp of their Rowan Tree Restaurant and the makeover is superb, what better setting to gather with friends and enjoy dinner and a catch up?

To match the stunning makeover in the restaurant Chef Val was busy creating his new impressive menu featuring the finest produce from Redmond’s Farm with a focus on sustainable farm to fork quality that is growing the reputation of Gorey and the Redmond hotels as a Foodie destination & was covered by Pól Ó’Conghaile in last week’s Sunday Independent!
