Enjoy the start of bright evenings

Gradually we are seeing the start of longer days and it’s fair to say we are all looking forward to leaving the darker winter nights behind us.

The crisp weather of late and beautiful sunsets provide the most beautiful of backdrops for an early evening walk!

This sunset overlooking the strand at Kilmichael Point was captured by local photographer Peter Murray of Frame It Photos.

Gorey Park Run

We are thrilled to see Gorey Park Run back in operation in the new Gorey District Park!  This great bunch meet every Saturday morning at 9.30am and the motivation behind this group is social and fitness with walking and running options open to all!.

The organisers say that everyone is encouraged to walk at their own pace and there is no time limit on completing the course. They also have walk leaders on hand, who are regular walkers themselves, to offer advise and encouragement on the way round and to help to keep you going.

Sound like the perfect start to 2022?  We think so! Find our more here
