Get set for 5k Steeplechase in June

Are you up for The Stables’ Steeplechase 5km Obstacle Course , taking place on Saturday 22 June at 10am.

Runners of all levels are encouraged to come and try something a little different and experience a taste of this unique fitness destination.

This 5km course is a fun and exciting route with 14 obstacles to negotiate along the way. These include The Stables’ our signature burma bridge, high walls, net climbs, monkey bars and finishing ramp to name a few!


Please note, if you wish to compete for a place on the podium in the 5km Individual Route with Obstacles, you must register in Wave 1 at 10am.

If you would prefer to complete the course with some friends, we have the option of running as a team of 4. Please note that all teams will start in Wave 3 at 10.30am

For those who prefer just to run, you’re invited to come along and enjoy our trail run without having to complete any of the obstacles, and you will be in Wave 4 at 10.45am.

T-shirts are guaranteed for all those who register by 31st May 2019.

Options available

  • a) an individual (€30);
  • b) as a team of 4 (€100); or
  • c) as an individual running the 5km route with no obstacles (€20)

About The Stables

The Stables is a unique fitness destination for all the family. We strive to provide varied fitness and wellbeing programmes for adults and kids with a number of different options to choose from – Personal Training, Bootcamps, Kids Camps, Yoga & Pilates.

In a wonderfully relaxing setting on a farm, just minutes from the town centre of Gorey, there are four training studios, an astroturf pitch and an 8km obstacle course with 15 fun and exciting obstacles. When the weather permits, clients are encouraged to train outside, as exercising in the open air has been proven to have significant mental health benefits.

The Stables also offers team bonding days for sports teams and corporates, testing them around the Steeplechase obstacle course, or trying out the Steeplehunt treasure challenge!
