Gorey and North Wexford are THE best places to be with your kids.
Whether you’re lucky enough to live here – or even luckier to visit with us – we have plenty to keep the young ‘uns occupied.
We’ve compiled a list of places not to miss!
Amber Springs Hotel – Kids Club
There’s loads of things for kids to do at the Amber Springs Hotel Kids Club, including Go Karts, Crazy Golf, Treasure Hunts, Ball Games and Races. For those boring old rainy days, there are arts and crafts, a disco, talent competitions, and movies in the hotel’s own cinema! And in the Amber Park, there’s a playground, petting farm, football pitch, a pirate ship and the very popular train, the Amber Express.
Kia Ora Mini Farm
Kia Ora Mini Farm, now almost an institution and an integral part of many people’s current and past childhood holidays to North Wexford.
Located off the Courtown Road, Kia Ora has everything you’ll need to keep the kids occupied for a day – an open farm with deer, llamas, donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs, hens, swans, peacocks. And that’s before you show the children attractions like the fire engine, the diggers, the maze, the playground, the milking cow, go karts, the crazy football – and the museum of model tractors and fire engines!
Pirates Cove
Swashbuckling fun for all ages! There’s an 18 hole mini golf, tropical gardens, giant caves, a cascading waterfall, and a full-sized shipwreck of a treasure-laden galleon on Europe’s best Adventure Golf course. Play at night with low level lighting for a magical experience with a truly exotic feel.
Add in The Funcaves soft play area or walk on water in the bubble rollers. There’s also 10 Pin Bowling, Electric children’s Go-karts (max. speed 9km/h), a Games Arcade and the Spinning Compass Casino.
The Stables
The Stables is a unique venue running fitness classes and yoga classes run throughout the school term time. The fitness classes give your child a chance to experience a wide range of fitness related activities to help with their co-ordination, flexibility, agility, strength, speed and mindfulness. They also run kids camps in the school holidays at Halloween, Easter and in the Summer.
Wells House and Gardens
Explore the Woodland Walks, Wells House Owl Walks and Falconry, Adventure Playground, Animal Farm, and Wells House Archery in the wonderful Wells House!
Whether it’s a Build A Bear workshop, or a Fairy Trail, or a crazy day with the Electric Zoo, Wells House is packed with fun things to do for kids of all ages. A restaurant on site will keep the munchies at bay and give you a chance to savour 400 years of history at the gem of Ireland’s Ancient East.
Wexford Lavender Farm
From baking classes to claymazing, a beautiful café located in converted stables, gift shop, children’s play area, and a quad barrel train ride, you won’t want to leave Wexford Lavender Farm. Keep an eye out for the fairy doors on the woodland walk!
