Tour Tara Hill
Offering unrivaled views Tara Hill is a firm favourite for Sunday strolls in North Wexford, on a clear day the coastline of Wexford and Wicklow is absolutely breathtaking!!
Choose the Red Slí an tSuaimhnais trail with plenty of car parking options close to the village leading you to quaint country lane that award you stunning views of the coastline and echoes of our past with a 1798 cemetery.
If you are feeling more energetic try the Blue Slí na n-Óg trail where you will pass more of stories of our past with the remains of a famine village, Soldier’s Hollow, Table Rock and on the summit, the cairn. This cairn has the crow’s-foot mark showing it was part of a military survey, using its height to provide possible defence in times of invasion. Mount Snowdon in Wales can be seen from the summit so let’s hope for another glorious weekend of sunshine like we have been enjoying!
