“The Big Switch On” will take place in Gorey on Saturday, 25 November at 7.30pm!
To ensure all children see Santa, a stage is being erected at the top of Main Street and entertainment will commence from 6.45pm.
Santa will arrive in his sleigh travelling up the Main Street and a spectacular array of entertainment is planned for your enjoyment. Santa will then have a few words of wisdom for all the kids and will collect the first batch of letters from the specially designed Santa post box on Main Street. However, if your letter is not ready, don’t panic as he plans to make a few return trips between now and Christmas.
When Santa leaves Gorey for his next destination, you will not be disappointed as a kiddies disco will then take place on Main Street guaranteeing fun and frolics for all the children. The disco will finish around 8.30pm just in time for all children to get to bed and keep on Santa’s good side.
In addition to all this entertainment, there will be late opening in the shops with special offers, mulled wine and hot chocolate readily available. Don’t forget to get your “Free reindeer food” which will be available on the street for the children to take home for Christmas Eve.
Don’t forget to wear your Santa Hat on the night to truly participate in what we hope will be a magical experience for all involved.
