To end Culture Night at periphery Space, Gorey School of Art has chosen to screen one of the best films of 2017 in their state-of-the-art art house cinema. A smart, emotional and funny film, it delivers fresh insights about the turmoil of adolescence and reveals Irish actor Saoirse Ronan, as a fully formed talent.

An evening of readings from 6:30pm, launching Irish author Nuala O’Connor’s latest novel, ‘Becoming Belle’. Also, local author Shelia Forsey, who published her first novel, ‘Mending Lace’, last year. Music by Anne Colgan.

The Gap Arts Festival presents poetry, music and film by local writers, musicians and a screening of the short film ‘Titania’s Palace’ from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Poetry Reading from Conradh na Gaeilge and music from Ceol mo Chroí Culture Club, including a screening of “Eileanóir na Rún” from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. Refreshments served from 6:30pm.

Also, watercolour demonstration with Artist & Studio Member Kate Kos and mixed media canvas painting with Studio Member, Sara Redmond, owner of Different Strokes Art Shop, from 7-8pm.
