Historically, Gorey was built to be a market town and over time it has evolved into a thriving contemporary shopping experience.
Gorey shopping centre opened in October 2007, and is home to shops such as Dunne Stores, Hickey's Pharmacy, and Paul Byron Shoes. It is also has a large number of cafés, a Supervalu, a Tesco Extra store and two Applegreen service station to mention just a few. Gorey has a number of Independent fashion, beauty and bridal boutiques located on Esmonde St, including Place, Ruby Rouge, La Creme, Making Faces, and The Dressing Room.
