The North Wexford Historical Society are looking for your help to identify people, locations and events from the 1960’s in the Carnew/North Gorey area.
On Culture Night join them at the Askamore Community Hall for coffee/teas and a chance to look through old 8mm film by Fr. Lennon, Parish Priest capturing local weddings, point to point racing and the new local Carnew School (1960’s). This informal, community focused, event will be a great chance to connect with your local community and to be part of a local archiving project which aims to preserve this cultural heritage for the community and future generations.
