5 Venues and 3 weekends of great Irish Comedy in Gorey this October

The 2023 Gorey Yellow Belly Comedy Festival has been announced with a stellar line up of stand-up comedians set to draw hundreds of visitors to the town over three weekends in October.

“This year we are back, bigger and better with three great weekends featuring some of Ireland’s best comedians here in your favourite pubs and venues in Gorey,”

Norma Quinsey from Love Gorey commented “Only in its second year and we have already got the who’s who of Irish Comedy Lined up to give you some of the best nights out this October & with 2 weeks to go we have two venues sold out which shows the calibre of comedians performing at the festival!

This festival is delivered by Gorey Yellow Belly Comedy Festival Committee in conjunction with Love Gorey, Gorey Kilmuckridge Municipal District, and the venues, The Ashdown Park Hotel, The Loch Garman Arms, The 64, Gorey Little Theatre and Breen’s Bar.

We are hoping to build on last year’s success with big stand-up comedy names such as Bernard O’Shea, Deirdre O’Kane, Eric Lawlor, Karl Spain and Fred Cooke.

I would like to thank Gorey Kilmuckridge Municipal District for their financial assistance and Visit Wexford for their support in promoting Gorey as a new comedy entertainment venue for the month of October.

We are hoping to grow the festival and encourage overnight stays as based on last year the demand for comedy in Gorey was high.

We also welcome back Fiona Frawley who performed at the inaugural Gorey Yellow Belly Comedy Festival as MC for several of the nights, on October 6th, 13th in Breen’s Bar with Colm O’Regan & Fred Cooke, and again with Karl Spain & Eric Lalor in The Loch Garman on 14th October!

Tickets  are currently on sale and further updates are available from  goreyyellowbellycomedyfestival.com.
