Just 3km south of Courtown, Roney Point is a sheltered short beach, ideal for a quiet getaway from the bustling crowds. It’s more stony than other North Wexford beaches, but if you don’t mind that, and you have a book to read, you’re all set! Keep an eye out for a group of seals that live on the little island just off Roney Point.
Walking south, you’ll reach Donaghmore beach, so walkers will enjoy time spent here. A short distance from the beach is Donaghmore cemetery, with headstones dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. Donaghmore church is reputed to be one of the first founded by St Patrick. Definitely of interest to the culturally curious amongst you!
